Overview

Kamalnayan Bajaj Hall and Art Gallery is an initiative of Jamnalal Bajaj Seva Trust of the Bajaj Group. Right in the heart of the business hub of South Mumbai stands a centre that celebrates creativity. This prime exhibition space helps promote the spirit of the art and its appreciation. A place where artists and art lovers convene to introduce, recognize and celebrate the unique expressions of imagination.

Kamalnayan Bajaj Hall and Art Gallery was conceived and set up in 1980 in Mumbai, in the memory of Kamalnayan Bajaj, a philanthropist, industrialist, a versatile persona and an ardent promoter of art, culture and literature.

Kamalnayan Bajaj was the elder son of Jamnalal Bajaj, a freedom fighter, social reformer, humanitarian and a devoted follower and adopted fifth son of Mahatma Gandhi. He embodied and added luster to the ideologies of his revered father. Jamnalal Bajaj strongly believed in the principles of simple living and high thinking.

The initiative is a sincere effort to present the inspiring aura of Kamalnayan Bajaj - the original thinker, who fuelled industrialization of free India and was the spirit behind our country’s quest for self reliance.
