Beauty is all pervasive. The Lotus flower embodies the ubiquity of beauty and transcends the phases and cycles of life. The artist draws inspiration from this beauty. Alpana supports the Akanksha Foundation, which works primarily in the field of educating children from low-income groups. In keeping with the spirit of empowerment, the artist has committed to contribute a portion of the proceeds from this exhibition to support Akanksha Children.
Alpana has taught arts & design for over 25 years and regularly holds exhibitions of her work at galleries in the city. She has in the recent past held a show of her works titled ‘Pravaha’ at Trident Art Walk, Mumbai and has also held two private shows in the last one year.
