Shilpanjali- Art of Contemporary Bengal’

-An ode to Art

From the land of Rasgullas, Ilish Maach and Phuckas, the iconic Howrah Bridge and Victoria Memorial, to sipping tea in a bhar in Prinsep Ghat to walking down lanes taking in the beautiful red brick buildings in the Northern area of the city, from listening to the victorious visionary tales of Netaji to humming the melodious tunes of Tagore’s poems, let us take you on a journey of the old Calcutta and new Kolkata, where we give ode to art, where you can get a glimpse of all that is Bengal, its culture and its heritage.

‘Shilpanjali’- is an exhibition of paintings and sculptures, depicting Bengal, its devotion to its cities, to Krishna and Ganesha. Take a trip down memory lane with these art pieces by the up and coming artists of the city.

Displaying a variety of paintings from the land of Tagore, this exhibition starts from the 29th of August, in Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, till the 3rd of September, from 11 a.m to 7 p.m, on the different shades of Calcutta’s heritage and culture.

‘Shilpanjali’ also is an ode to the human life, all the sale proceeds raised during our exhibition, will be given to ‘Khushee’, a movement which helps the underprivileged kids of the society lead a better life, by guiding them emotionally, spiritually and financially to help paint their dreams and their future.
