About Artworks

"My work is an observation of the different forms and shapes the space takes, and the thoughts behind it. I use environmental objects as the common denominators of different perceptions in my works. Altering them is a way of questioning the attitudes, fears and unwritten rules which have formed the reflections and my expressions associated with it. They combine elements of abstraction and representation, pattern and grid, surface and illusion, as well as observation, imagination, and memory"Priya Yabaluri

Priya Yabaluri's works are reflections of her nonobjective memory taking the shapes of geometrical expressions. She experiments with the dynamics and movements within the plane and the viewer's vision. The lines are strong and the colors range from soft hues of analogous to bright complementaries. She explores life and related philosophy with geometrical compositions and surprises us with her love for botanical works too. Sometimes music becomes a source of her inspiration to explore different mediums, techniques, and subjects.

" I love art in various forms and It is where I find my connectivity with the universe."Priya Yabaluri
